Corneal crosslinking is a minimally invasive procedure to strengthen the cornea by saturating it with riboflavin (vitamin B2) followed by ultraviolet irradiation. This creates new bonds between collagen fibers of the cornea, increasing its rigidity and stopping keratoconus progression.
